What Snapchat Ads Actually Cost in Saudi Arabia (2026)

Real figures from accounts we run in the Saudi market: what a thousand impressions costs, what a click costs, what an order costs — and how to move each one.

PublishedUpdated4 min read

We get the same question every week: "how much budget do I need to advertise on Snapchat?" The honest answer is that no single number fits everyone — but there are realistic ranges we see daily in accounts we run in the Saudi market. Here they are, and here's how to read them.

How Snapchat pricing actually works

Snapchat runs an auction. You don't pay a fixed rate; you bid against every other advertiser targeting the same person at the same moment. Three things set your final price:

  • Competition for your audience. The narrower the targeting and the higher the demand for it, the more you pay.
  • The quality of your ad. Snapchat rewards ads people watch through and engage with by lowering your delivery cost. This is the single biggest lever you control.
  • The season. Ramadan, Eid, National Day and White Friday raise costs for everyone.

So "what does advertising cost?" is really two questions: what does it cost to reach people, and what does it cost to persuade them. The auction answers the first. Your creative answers the second.

Realistic figures for the Saudi market

These are the ranges we see across accounts we manage. Treat them as a reference, not a promise — your account can land outside them in either direction.

Cost per thousand impressions (CPM)

In Saudi Arabia, Snapchat CPMs typically run SAR 12–35. Broadly targeted campaigns sit at the lower end; campaigns aimed at narrow segments or specific districts push toward the top. In crowded seasons, expect the figure to jump past SAR 50.

Cost per click (CPC)

The usual range is SAR 0.8–3. The gap between those two ends comes almost entirely down to creative quality. A vertical video with a strong hook earns a click for a riyal; a static image with a logo in the middle costs you three.

Cost per conversion

This is where categories diverge sharply:

  • E-commerce, products under SAR 300: typically SAR 40–90 per order.
  • E-commerce, products over SAR 500: SAR 90–250.
  • Services and clinics (booking or consultation request): SAR 35–120 per lead.
  • Restaurants (directions or online order): SAR 8–30.

The realistic minimum to start

Snapchat will happily take very small amounts, but that doesn't make them useful. The algorithm needs enough conversion data to learn who buys from you. The working rule: each ad set needs roughly 50 conversions a week to leave the learning phase and stabilise.

Multiply your expected cost per conversion by that number and you have your real floor. If you expect SAR 60 per order, then 50 orders a week means SAR 3,000 a week — about SAR 12,000 a month to reach the ideal state.

In practice most accounts operate below ideal. Our realistic guidance:

  • SAR 5,000/month: the minimum to test the platform seriously.
  • SAR 15,000/month: where genuine optimisation starts.
  • SAR 30,000+/month: enough room to test several creative angles in parallel.

Below SAR 3,000 a month? Honestly, concentrate your budget on a single channel rather than spreading it, or invest in local SEO first.

Four things that genuinely lower your cost

1. Creative, before anything else

This isn't generic advice — it's your biggest lever. In a test we ran on a clothing store, same targeting, same budget, same landing page: a UGC video of someone simply talking produced a SAR 58 cost per order, while a polished motion-graphics ad produced SAR 143. A 146% difference from creative alone.

The rule: an ad that looks like Snapchat content works. An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped.

2. Fix the pixel before you raise the budget

If your pixel doesn't pass order value, Snapchat weights every sale identically — optimising you toward cheap orders and ignoring the valuable ones. If it double-fires the purchase event, your numbers are inflated and you're making decisions on bad data. Installing the pixel and Conversions API properly typically lowers apparent cost per conversion by 15–40%, because Snapchat recovers signal it had been losing.

3. Widen the targeting instead of narrowing it

Instinct says: narrow the targeting so you don't waste money. On Snapchat the reverse usually holds. Narrow targeting raises the auction price and constrains the algorithm's ability to find buyers. Try broad targeting with creative strong enough to filter the audience itself — the right ad attracts the right person.

4. Refresh creative every fortnight

Ad fatigue is real and fast on Snapchat. A winning video lives seven to fourteen days before its cost climbs. Ship a new batch every two weeks rather than waiting for performance to collapse.

The numbers at a glance

MetricExpected range in Saudi Arabia
Cost per 1,000 impressionsSAR 12–35
Cost per clickSAR 0.8–3
Cost per order (e-commerce)SAR 40–250
Practical minimum budgetSAR 5,000/month
Budget for serious optimisationSAR 15,000+/month

The number that actually matters isn't your CPC or your CPM — it's your return on ad spend. An ad with a SAR 3 click that sells profitably beats an ad with a SAR 0.50 click that sells nothing. Read how to calculate ROAS if you want to measure this properly.
